About Marikana fc
Marikana FC, a proud product of the rural village of Setlaboswane GA Masemola in Limpopo Province, was founded in 2013 by a group of visionary individuals: Israel Mogudi, Kgotso Chelewane Bhasera Kgatuke, Mmathate Talane, Caswell Kgaditse, and Lary Makgetlaneng.
The team's primary objective is to unite the community through the beautiful game of football, while also promoting a positive lifestyle among the youth. We aim to encourage young players to abstain from substance abuse and instead focus on education, emphasizing that football and education go hand-in-hand.
What drives us is the founders' personal experiences and passion for giving back to the community. As individuals with bright futures ahead, they sought to create a platform that would empower the next generation. By establishing Marikana FC, they aimed to provide young people with valuable life skills, mentorship, and guidance to navigate life's challenges. Our philosophy is simple: with hard work, discipline, and focus, anything is possible. We believe that being disciplined is the root of everything, and as players, we strive to embody this value both on and off the pitch.
